Top Notch Labradoodles

Health & Pure Designer Breed Guaranteed

Crate & Doggy Door Training
Crate & Doggy Door Training is limited to 9 pups at a given time - 1st come, 1st serve.  **Please note the TOY/MINI Labradoodles will not learn to use the Doggy Door, our Doggy Door is too big/heavy for them to push open Because of their tiny size, it is not safe for them to be outside as we have hawks that could easily pick one up.  Minis that are staying for crate training will stay inside during the daytime in a large playpen with potty pads during the day time.**

There are HUGE advantages to a crate trained puppy.  First of all, you won't wake up or come home to poop or pee.  Your pup will be able to hold their bowels for up to 10 hours overnight. 2nd, house breaking a crate trained pup is comparatively a breeze and typically only takes a week after going home because they are pre-trained to control their bowels.

Crate training & house breaking a puppy is undoubtedly the hardest part of raising puppies.  We are one of the ONLY breeders that has the ability to successfully crate train your pup before they go home!

We live in a large house where we maintain a 14' x 20' puppy nursery.  The puppy nursery is well kept and air-conditioned.  This is where your pup can be crate trained but you must opt and pay for it at or before the Puppy Visit & Selection dates.  Pups will be free to roam about in the west wing of our house with access to a doggy door that leads to a large outside enclosed pen where they can play, poop, and pee.

Before or during Puppy Visits & Selection, you will have the choice to take your pup home, or leave them with us for an additional week to complete crate training.  Pups that are to be crate trained will go home 2 Saturdays later, at approximately 9 weeks.  The absolute goal is to be completely crate & doggy door trained so that they can hold their bowels overnight and know how to use the doggy door to go outside to poop/pee.  (Don't worry if you don't plan to use a doggy door, they will learn to go to the door in the expectation to go outside).

We'll keep track of how your pup is doing and we'll keep you posted along the way.  (Typically you won't hear from us until week 2, when we start to see progress/success).  Be prepared that during transition (after they go home), as they get acclimated to their new environment, it is normal for them to soil their crates (usually just the 1st night and typically pee only).  In order to maintain crate training, it is imperative that you get them to poop before bed time.  How we do it at our house is I run around the outside of our pen and they follow me and I just keep going back and forth until one by one they all start to squat down to go poop and pee.  If your pup is not pooping before bed, you will have accidents.  Please note that we do not take/post videos/pics during crate training unless you're pup is also here for obedience training.

Pups that are here for crate training that stay the full 2 weeks may receive a 9 week "all in one" vaccination, a $95* value, plus another Comprehensive De-Worm & Deparasite if needed, a $60* value.

If
you select crate training you have 2 options:
Option 1 - $400 - Crate & Doggy Door Training - a good idea if 1 person "stays at home"

Option 2 - $600 - Custom Crate & Doggy Door Training - Day & Night - Ideal if both parents are working full or part time.  I'll collect information on your daily routine to try to match that at our house (within limitations - we crate them no later than 8:30pm and release no sooner than 6am) so that by the time your pup goes home, he/she will be used to the same routine.  (During the day time we use a light colored sheet to cover most sides of the crate, but leaving at least one side uncovered so they can see out and understand that it's day time - lights are on, we put in 4-5 toys + interactive toys, including a bit of peanut butter inside of a kong toy to keep them busy/happy while inside the crate.  I pass by the pups at least 30 times a day while working/training, so I keep 3 of 4 sides covered, so they can see out, but they don't see me, but they can hear me).

Custom crate for Bisbee:
Release 6am - eat, drink poop, open play for 2 hours with open access to water
Starting @ 8am crate every 2 hours followed by 20 mins of open play & access to H2O
5pm - feed, water, poop, open play till 8:30pm
8:30pm - pee, poop, crate

If you don't opt for crate training
We'll give you instructions on how to properly crate train your pup and offer support along the way.  You'll need a L(42") or XL(48") crate with divider panel, training pads & large / strong tape (or a towel that you can wash daily), and a dark sheet to cover the crate.

All Training will utilize Clicker Training
Clicker training is often used for service animals because it has proven to speed up the pup's ability to learn a new concept.  Clickers are included with The Complete Package Training Kit.  Otherwise, clickers are available for sale on selection day on site, at AmeriPaws Puppy Supply.

Basic Training
Basic Training is only available for pups that are staying for Crate & Doggy Door Training.  Basic Training is limited to 5 pups at a given time - 1st come, 1st serve.

While your pup is here for Crate & Doggy Door Training, I will work with your pup on a daily basis, many times throughout the day (Daily Goal 2-3 minutes every hour, 7-8 times a day, M-F), to train your pup on 12 basic obedience commands:  Focus on Me (Look at me), Get in Front of Me, Sit, Stay, Down, Come, Up, Off,  Heel, No, OK, and Follow Me.  We will use positive reinforcement, lures, and the distract/redirect training methods outlined on our Training page and videos page, playing with them in between training sessions to keep it fun.   Please note that you will need to continue to reinforce the training learned after they go home and increase the distraction setting as you go, for several weeks until it is well set in their minds.  Although we don't guarantee success, so far all pups have mastered in a low distraction setting, these basic obedience commands.  At the end of each day during our last training session I record and send you a video of your pup performing all of the commands they have learned up until that point.  It's fun and amazing to watch your pup learn the 12 basic obedience commands!  The videos are also useful because you will get a grasp on how to handle / what to do when your pup becomes distracted or isn't staying on task.  I will also send you home with instructions on how to reinforce each command including hand gestures, and how to increase the distraction settings so that eventually your pup will be able to perform all commands in a high distraction environment such as a store or public place.

At the conclusion of Basic Obedience Training, your pup will receive a certificate of basic obedience training.   Before your pup goes home, I will walk you through every single command and make sure that you are able to successfully perform each command correctly to ensure continued success at home.  If you are continuing advanced obedience training with us, we will invite you to visit your pup (when possible, by appointment only) and go over all of the commands with you.

The Fee for Basic Obedience is $600.  Basic Obedience Video below - before we started to use clicker training - Star, our 1st graduate!  We have now increased/improved our training even more and will continue to improve as we continue.  Here is a link for our Facebook page for 2 puppies currently in training for Basic, Advanced, then Service.  You can view daily updates to get a feel for what you can expect.  (The videos may not demonstrate Focus, Front, or Follow Me as we added those commands after these trainings.

Advanced Obedience Training - take home at ~11 weeks

The ultimate goals of Advance Obedience Training are:  To master the 12 basic obedience commands in a high distraction setting and be ready for the AKC Good Citizens Test.  During Advanced Obedience Training I will continue to reinforce the basic obedience training they have already received, moving it to a medium distraction environment on our property during week 1 of Advanced Obedience Training, and then to a moderately high distraction setting (at a low traffic store or a park) during week 2.  Adding on "Speak" & "Quiet" Commands and they will learn to use the car ramp to go "up" and "off" as they enter and exit their crates for trainings at stores/public places.  At the end of each day - during our last training session of the day, I will record and send to you a demonstration of everything they have learned up to that point.

At the conclusion of Advanced Obedience Training, your pup will receive a certificate of advanced obedience training.  In addition you will receive daily videos which you can use to document your pup's training which you will need to keep on record if your goal is a bona fide service dog.  At the conclusion of training, I will walk you through every single command to make sure that you are able to successfully perform each command correctly to ensure continued success at home.  If you are continuing training with us, we will invite you to visit your pup (when possible, by appointment only) and go over all of the commands with you.   During the 2nd week of Advanced Obedience, I will be taking your pup out to public places and when possible, you are welcome to meet me so that you can practice the commands with your pup during training sessions.  The Fee for Advanced Obedience is $1,000.  Below is a video of our 1st Advanced Obedience graduate, Luna.  The video does not demonstrate Speak or Quiet as we added those videos after these trainings.

House Training
House Training is available to pups during any advanced obedience training but is limited to 2 pups at a given time - 1st come, 1st serve.  We will consult with you to determine the best method to house train your dog given your own house, environment, and schedule.  For example, if you don't have a doggy door, how do you want your pup to notify you when he/she has to use the bathroom?  Jingle a door bell?  Paw at your leg?  If you live in an apartment I can train your pup to use a slide in doggy door that leads to a small patch of turf on your patio with a potty pad underneath for easy collection/disposal. Door jingles will be for sale on selection day on site at AmeriPaws Puppy Supply.  The fee for House Training is $800.

Treadmill Training
Treadmill training is only available for pups that are staying for Crate & Doggy Door Training  and the take home date will be the same for the Crate & Doggy Door Training take home dates.  Treadmill training is limited to 5 pups at a given time - 1st come 1st serve.

Treadmill training your pup is ideal for Arizona.  During the fall, spring, and winter months, walking outdoors is wonderful.  However, it can become a challenge in the summer months.  Treadmill training your pup is very doable during the puppy stage but can present quite the challenge the longer you delay it.  For those that have done it, they have been rewarded with a pup who will happily exercise on the treadmill in the Air Condition.  For those that have not done it, the summer months present a challenge.

We will treadmill train your pup using positive reinforcement and distract/redirect methods outlined on our training and video pages.  We will reward your pup as they go and play with them afterward to keep it a positive experience and keep training short and frequent throughout the day.  By the time your pup goes home, they will have learned the "Up" & "Off" commands and be accustomed to walking on the treadmill while attached to a harness and collar.  Please note that you should never leave your pup on a treadmill unattended and you will need to reinforce/perform treadmill training once a week to keep them trained when the warm months arrive.

When you pick up your pup, I'll demonstrate that your pup is treadmill trained and show you how to attach your pup to the treadmill as well as equip you with harness, leash, and collars so you can continue this routine successfully at home.  Please feel free to send me a pic of your treadmill in advance for a smoother transition.  If we are not able to successfully treadmill train your pup by the time you pick your pup up, we will refund the treadmill training fee.  The Fee for treadmill training is $200.

How to Reserve your Spot:
